Hong R. Zhang Durandal is a seasoned renewable energy leader and book author, with a portfolio exceeding 10 Gigawatts (GW) of clean energy assets across the U.S. and Latin America. His expertise spans the entire lifecycle of solar, wind, energy storage, and electric vehicle (EV) charging projects, guiding them from development, financing, construction and operations. As the co-founder of Energy Hunters and RioNadi Energy, and Associate Director at Zelestra, Hong has spearheaded investment strategies and led projects over $500M. He holds a degree in Economics and Public Policy from the Harris School of Public Policy at the University of Chicago, as well as a Business Administration and Finance degree from Berea College. Based in Houston, Texas, Hong enjoys writing, soccer, horseback riding, calisthenics, and chess.
